Ms. Marquez Philosophy Statement

Since I was little I knew I was born to be an educator. I love children and everything they do. Children have the biggest imagination ever and that is what motivates me to be as imaginative as them. I believe that children are smarter than adults, by that I want children to not only be taught by adults but , I want to allow them to teach me as well. Let the children be the teachers. It has been a long time since we have been in the same circumstances they are in every day. It wouldn't hurt to let them show us what they have to say or give us the opportunity to speak to us in their own appropiate age language.

My ultimate goal is to help the students to develop a mind full of knowledge. I want to be a fun teacher that not only goes to school to get paid but to ultimately to go and be able to show and teach good enough for the students to always remember who Ms. Marquez is.For me teaching is an opportunity for students to succeed in life, since their learning new and interesting stuff I want for students to be eager to want to learn what comes next. I don't only want to teach a school related curriculum but also teach students manners, kindness, acceptance and respect towards others.

I believe that the teaching techniques im learning in my Education classes will be very effective becuase not only are they reliable techniques but they are patient and understanding techniques towards students. We know that it's hard to deal with children sometimes but, we also know that they are little and dont know as much as an adult knows, so we have to show them and be patient loving and kind, and everything will be fine.

A good teacher is a master of simplification and an enemy of simplism.  ~Louis A. Berman
